I vote for Heidi's suggestion 🙂

Send the money to ship the shoes but no item refund until returned to you.

The dispute route means buyer must return before receiving a refund.

eBay policy is that the seller refunds after receiving the items back.

Don't refund until you receive the shoes.

The correct 'Item Not as Described" procedure is explained here.

What to do if you don't receive an item or it doesn't match the seller's description

Heidi nailed it.

Hmm- is the buyer in the USA or Canada. Is there a way of sending a return shipping label? That would be even better, if possible, since it could only be used to return the shoes.

Meanwhile, apologize without grovelling, and keep the customer convinced that you are a woman of your word.
