Hi everyone,
After being an ebay buyer for a few years, I want to sell some things. I have two quick questions.
(1) Once a buyer has placed an order with you, how do you send them an order confirmation?
(2) How do you send the buyer a short message that you will give them an update when shipping the item?
Thank you for your help and time.
Although EBay will automatically take care of some of that for you, you can contact the buyer through eBay messaging system. All communications with a buyer should be processed through eBay messaging so that there is always an eBay record of all communications between you and buyer.
2.) I leave feedback on shipment.
Thank you for your prompt payment. Shipped 13/9/24 Canada Post Tracked Packet USA.
This puts the date of the shipment on his FB page, which I consider useful now that eBay has stopped dating FB.
Thanks the customer.
Gives the date the right way, and tells an observant American that his parcel is crossing a border.
Tells the buyer that the shipment is coming from Canada.
Tells the buyer that the parcel is tracked, so don't get cute.
If I am using a Registered Mail for a Canadian customer, it is necessary to manually enter the tracking number on your Sell page, since this cannot be purchased through eBay.
If you do not buy the shipping label through eBay, you have to enter the number manually.
