That is correct for GST, but incorrect for PST. PST exemption is up to
the platform, and usually is implemented after providing your exemption
certificate.
Completely irrelevant answer. Most major retailers offer a PST exemption
option. My business is exempt as deemed by the government, but eBay does
not wish to do the paperwork.
Me too, my business has probably spent $1,000,000 on eBay in the last
~20 years, and now I rarely use it. The loss of PST exemption status for
US and Canadian purchases (as a legitimate reseller), and the new
mysterious "Duties" surcharge have killed...
