At the link below (on ebay.com) it sounds like they can open an unpaid
item case after 2 days of non-payment, whereas in Canada (as I just
confirmed) we have to wait an extra two days (a total of 4 days after
the listing ends).

Is the unpaid item process ridiculously long or am I missing
something?Buyers are supposed to pay within two days, but I can’t open a
case until 4 days have passed. Then the buyer gets another 4 days to
pay, for a total of 8 days to pay when it’s sup...
There are no consequences to buyer or seller if you cancel at buyer’s
request.You can’t open an unpaid item case once you’ve cancelled their
order.As annoying as it is when buyers want to cancel, at least you can

Interesting. There's some inconsistency then because here it says "If
it's been more than 4 full days since the listing ended, you can select
Report an unpaid item."
