Bid rejected item pulled

I bid on a pair of two bros. mufflers for can am spyder from seller then got an email from eBay saying my bid was rejected and item cancelled. They told me to go to bid history to see explanation which I did and there is no explanation. What's up with that?

There are two possibilities.

The seller owns the items and can cancel any listing (or Block any bidder) that he wants.

He may have sold the item elsewhere,or discovered an error in his description, or decided he wanted a higher price and pulled the listing for revision.

OR

EBay may have decided that the seller was not on the up and up, and pulled the listing to protect bidders.

In either case, for you there is no transaction.

BTW, we are not allowed to 'name and shame' other members here, so the seller's name will probably disappear from your post soon.
