As you are likely aware, Canada Post will be experiencing a national work stoppage beginning May 23, 2025. This affects all parcels and mail currently in the Canada Post network.

This labour action may affect the flow of shipments within Canada and impact the operations of Canadian sellers. However, eBay remains open for business and buyers are still able to view and purchase items as before. Please note that Canada Post services have been temporarily disabled from the eBay Labels experience.

We have identified steps in our previous communication to sellers to help you manage your business. You may also consider enabling local pick-up for buyers in your area, if you have not already.

eBay is also taking steps to ensure sellers are protected. We have extended estimated delivery dates for buyers and implemented enhanced protections in the event of Item Not Received claims. In addition, we are taking steps to automatically protect your account from defects, including:

  • Late Shipment Rate (LSR) defects
  • Valid tracking upload rate
  • Negative or Neutral Feedback if you uploaded tracking before the case was opened and have a physical scan from the carrier
  • Seller-initiated cancellations

Please note that in order to benefit from these enhanced protections you must upload a valid tracking number to your shipments.

We will update our community as needed, and you can continue to monitor the details on the Canada Post website.

As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
