Can anyone help?

Woops!!! Not sure what happened to the rest of my message so here goes again.

I won an auction for an item on Sept 22nd. I had to request an invoice with the total & shipping. I received the invoice yesterday afternoon and processed payment for it through my Pay Pal.

I didn't receive the usual e-mail from Pay Pal with all the particulars of the order. Upon checking with Pay Pal I found out the seller e-mail was not registered. I contacted E Bay. I found out the seller has changed their e-mail address.

I sent a message to the seller to let them know the payment was there but they needed to fix the error with the e-mail on Pay Pal.

There has been no response and when I tried to call the seller the number is not in service.

This is not  a new seller. They have been on E Bay since 2006 and have excellent Feedback. No negatives or neutrals.

It's up to the 4 days now. I don't want them to turn around and give me a non- paying strike.

Thanks for any help you can give give me.

Hi jcur5237

If unable to contact the seller you need to report it to ebay, read this link:

It's not your fault that the seller has the wrong contact info in his listing. You can't have an unpaid item dispute opened against you because you paid, using the email address associated with the listing. Contact eBay and report the invalid email as Leb suggested.

Seller can fix by adding the old email address back to their PayPal , assuming that is possible.

If they cannot , you should have an unclaimed in your Paypal that you can cancel. Payment will be returned to your account.

To have Buyer Protection .. seller should cancel transaction and then set up a new buy it now for you.

Unfortunately communication is essential.

Communication through the whole invoicing and subsequent payment problem has not been what I have come to expect from other sellers I have dealt with.

Most really appreciate receiving quick payment after a winning auction.

I have done more on my part that she on hers to rectify the problem with the payment on Pay Pal.

The message I finally got from her last night stated there was nothing wrong with her e-mail addresses . She said she has e-mailed Pay Pal.Why not call? Wouldn't it be a quicker solution?

I sent her the e-mail address that PayPal has for her account & which they say is not regsitered.

The payment is still sitting unclaimed. I still want & hope I can receive the item I won. That's why I haven't cancelled to this point.
