Combined shipping

One of my frequent buyers of postcards (from Australia) suddenly asked me if I have changed my settings because she experienced a demand from eBay to pay instantly for the first card, and the same was for the subsequent, etc...

Before she was just buying and then I was sending her the combined invoice.

I refunded her three payments and got charged by PAYPAL 30 cents for each transaction.

I guess it was smarter to refund only the shipping cost.

Is there anything to recommend to buyers for multiple purchases in regards to one billing? (convenient for them and for me)

Thank you for recommendations.

Combined shipping

Set yourself up with a Paypal Micropayments account. You will only be charged 5 cents plus 5 percent for each transaction - cheaper fees for transactions under $12.

When combined transactions add up to more than $12, you can send an invoice and choose your standard Paypal account for receiving paymemt.

You can also state in your advertisement that prospective buyers should wait for invoicing from you before making multiple payments.  It doesn't solve the problem, but might reduce the instsnces.

I think that if they use the shopping cart on .com they can ask for a combined invoice.I haven't ever tried it but have thread that it can be difficult to find where on the cart to ask for that invoice....perhaps that has changed.

I'm wondering if they are actually asking your buyers to pay right away or saying that the item is available to others until they pay.(ebay mentioned that change in the  last update)
