I purchased a Chalene Johnston Piyo DVD set from a seller in Canada. He had 5 Piyo sets listed. It was listed as new, direct from Beachbody. I received the item, the package looked good, however the DVD’s do not play. The same day I received the package, eBay removed the item from the site without much explanation. I did some research online, and I believe that what I received is a counterfeit product. doesn’t sell their products wholesale. I have filed a complaint with eBay, and got a response from the seller saying for me to ship the item back to him (at my expense) and he will test the product out from himself and decide if I will be refunded. This doesn’t seem fair to me at all! eBay must know this is a counterfeit product, otherwise why would they pull it from the site? And now I have to pay to ship back a counterfeit product, and probably never see my money refunded anyway.

Open a Dispute from the Resolution Centre and escalate to a Claim.
The first step is to contact the seller, and you have already completed that step.
Contact these guys:
http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/english/index.html
and get a police report number.
Include the fact that you have reported it to the Anti-Fraud Centre in your Claim.
If eBay/Paypal doesn't help, go to the credit card you really paid with (PP is just a useful mediator) phone their 1-800 number and ask about a chargeback.
Some cards don't require a return. Some will accept the much cheaper Proof of Shipping (barcode #) instead of Proof of Delivery.
Sellers can be NARU'd for reasons other than selling counterfeits. Check the seller's FB and Detailed Seller Ratings.

Are you sure that the discs are region 1 NTSC format? That is the only format that plays in our DVD players in Canada, USA, Bermuda, Caribbean or US territories. Any other region will not play in our players and our region 1 NTSC discs will not play in other region players.
When we sell a region 1 NTSC DVD movie we do not sell outside the countries listed above to avoid incompatibility issues which might cause negs and/or defects that are not deserved.

Yes, certain countries, e.g. the U.K. do not work in North America. Been there, tried that with a used one from Amazon.

Item has been sent back, at the sellers expense. eBay has removed the item from the site, so I can't leave feedback on his sellers account. He is selling other DVD's, but no Beach Body sets.

I'm told that PAL DVDs will play on my iMac. Haven't tested this yet, waiting til I have $100 to waste on the entire PAL only series of Two Guys and a Girl, because Nathan Fillion.

You can go to Canadian Tire and by a Digitron DVD player that will play NTSC or PAL any region for under $30.00! I now have a decent collection of films that haven't been released in North America. It'll play anything except my harmonica!

The current Digitron/Likewise dvd player is being discontinued at Canadian Tire.

They pulled it because of you. You unjustly reported it as counterfeit when in fact you were in error and it was not the correct region for your player.
Ebay staff usually have no common sense in these matters and jumped the gun on the poor seller because of your report.
