Hi Everyone, I've been selling on ebay for about 8 months and I would like to take it to the next level, I've considered dropshipping but I'm a bit gun shy. I got sucked into what I think is a scam, signed up for a website and free dropshipping warehouse to purchase from and you can only sell to the US, which was ok I guess, but most of the time the warehouse only showed a few items in inventorey and I was too afraid to use it, those items could be gone by the time you sell them. Some advise on dropshipping, or how to purchase wholesale would be helpful.

I personally don't trust any dropshipper. You are leaving your feedback open for attack. You never know how well they package stuff, and how soon they will ship it. If you want to try it out, I would suggest getting a different ID. Don't use the current powerseller ID. Good luck.

I would run screaming from dropshipping. Everything that is legitimately available via this avenue is oversold on ebay anyway. Find a niche of your own and invest in some inventory. Buy small amounts of each product to begin with so that you can test the waters without too much risk.

Better to have it in stock and ready to ship, no sence creating ways for things to go wrong.

However....

I do dropship from one of my suppliers in the US. They make a high end Paintball Gun that is just to costly for me to stock. They ship same day by UPS and my customers in the US will have it 2-3 business days after they place there order with me. I can list them on Ebay in all the different colors and never have to stock them.

This however is the exception not the rule.
