That's good of her to do that. She would be an interesting person to meet.
I remember reading a couple of years ago about basically the same thing but it was a story from Holland or Germany (somewhere over in that area) where parks were full of string from of all things...... kite flyers. They would put new kite string on and just leave what they didn't want and the birds were getting caught up in all of it and dying.
