I wish that eBay would take this advice. It echoes what many sellers have been saying on the board.

While I agree with Skip's sentiment he makes it sounds like eBay never listens to their "customers" which is far from the truth. As for directly asking for Sellers input they do that as well although there could be more of this for sure.

Interesting comments on the eBay stock price, I wonder why he didn't mention Boeing's share price? Could it be he didn't want to highlight that it's in a similar sad state as eBay, way down from the peaks of the previous few years and almost unchanged over the past 3 years.

That was announced earlier this year .

If the opposite of "LIVE" IS "DEAD".

And, if eBay Live is cancelled....what conclusion should we arrive at?

As Pierre mentioned, eBay LIVE for 2009 was cancelled earlier this year. eBay stated that they were going to do smaller venues and spread it around so that there would be more opportunity for members to attend.

Sounds good to me!

Which is a good thing! If you had ever attended any number of business conventions you would know the biggest complaint is often that there are too many people making it impossible to do accomplish anything of value.

You can spin it any way you like but dumping the traditional eBay live, which is pretty much a simple schmoozefest, for a number of smaller events is a very positive decision. There might even be the opportunity to one or more of these in Canada. Under the current economic situation there isn't a chance in hell of a full blow eBay Live coming to Canada.

My sentiments exactly! There are some really great large cities throughout Canada...and it would be great if a few of their events were held in this vast country so that Canadians could take advantage and attend!

recped- - please- for someone who hasn't spent their life on the fringe; where I come from collaborator is a term with a lot of baggage.
And, being about 10km from you, I think we have more in common than you realize. In fact, we may have actually been at some of the same indie events.
