HS CODE FOR TV GUIDES - CAN ANYONE HELP?

Hi - All -  Just wondering what the HS code is for TV Guides made in Canada being sent to the USA?  Canada post says 4823.90, but it is confusing as it seems to apply to almost anything made of paper?

If it says that's the code, use it.

Leave out the decimal point when entering it though.

You are looking at the wrong category.  The "48s" apply to things other than printed matter.  The "49s" are for printed matter.  TV Guide is printed, comes out weekly, thus is a periodical, and falls under:

490290 - Newspapers, Journals And Periodicals - Appearing Less Frequently Than 4 Times A Week

Thanks for replying.  I looked again at CP website and 490290 does seem to be periodicals.  However they appear to have 10 digits in total and break down into sub categories (see below).  Quite confusing and time consuming.

Select the plus sign below to expand the sub-categories for your item. Continue to select the plus signs until you arrive at the final description for your item. Select the description to display your Tariff Schedule.

You only need the first 6 digits and the subcatagories under this are not needed.
