Help Identifying This Mask Please

One felt it was a Softball Catchers Mask.

Nice item, Date Stamped 1948 on the strap.

Not sure if it is worth anything.

Looks like it might be an old catchers, or umpires mask to me. You might want to google them and see what comes up for that year.

Found some in Completed Listings that were sold in Manitoba.

They are exactly the same as the ones i picked up.

Interesting pieces but not really a money maker. Oh well.
