I have a number of low price items listed, but was just looking through my charges and , for example, I sold a tennis bracelet for $5.49, was charge .61 Final Value Fee, .99 FVF on shipping and I think paypal also charges for payments being made through their site (I think)....when you do the math I earned a couple of bucks MAYBE. Is there something I am not doing right? I spent an hour on that one item between taking pics, posting, communicating with the potential buyers, the buyer and packaging and sending, etc. I feel like that bracelet should have made me more $$. Are there any tips anyone can share to help me learn to earn on ebay?

A person won't get rich on lower priced items...when I sell lower priced items ($2 for a spoon, for example) selling on ebay is a way to pay for my hobby, not to make a living.

If you go low value you you will hav to go high voulume to make a decent buck which is what I do ...
There is no way around it and somethings are not worth selling on ebay
FYI the longer you do this the faster you will get at listing items .. From 2 pictures to descriptions and all other info it take me about 2 minutes a listing..... Before it use to take a good 30 minutes or so ...
Good luck and have fun or make money and if you can not do either just call it a day
