How do we get FREE USPS Priority Boxes??

Hi-We are doing our first shipment through USPS tomorrow. I've read every thread I could find on here about shipping via USPS. We signed up for Endicia for our postage (great program!), have all of our boxes ready to go, along with invoices and manifest. However, we used our own supply of boxes and would obviously like to use the free ones, as we are shipping Priority Mail. How do you get them? I registered on USPS site, but when I get to the end, it tells me they cannot deliver to a Canadian address. I tried calling, but can't find a # that works from Canada. I did discover a way to get a form faxed to me, but they are looking for an account # on the bottom?
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Try picking them up when you drop off your first shipment and asking there how they would suggest it.

Hi Malcolm,
I will try that, just not sure if USPS workers are any more informed than ours are here. We ship about 60 packages a week, I wonder if they will give me that many.

I ordered mine from the USPS web site. You have to open an account. Not sure if they will ship across the border though.

Rob-how do you get yours then? Do you pick them up in the US. I registered on the USPS site, but I couldn't find anywhere to sign up for an account. I looked all over that site, but couldn't find anything. Maybe, I'm looking too hard, I just can't seem to find it.
Catseye...thanks, I did send Todd an email, as I understand he does this all the time. I'm in Toronto...if I was in Vancouver, I would definitely be trying to set something up with him.

I just ordered some boxes and there was Canadian address options for shipping.

I think that is what I may end up doing. Just get a PO Box with the USPS in Lewiston and have them delivered there. For Endicia, I just put in General Delivery to open that account, rather than purchase a postal box. I may have to break down and get a PO box now. Thanks for the links, I actually did already register, but it only gave me a username, not an actual account #. For the fax in order, it needs an account # and for the website, it needs a US address. It just sounds like some people are able to get their boxes delivered to Canada and I was hoping to be able to do that too.

The Canadian options are there, but when I get to the very end, it tells me Canadian addresses cannot order online.

ok when you are on the USPS site ...type in the search engine ( packing supplies). Then proceed through the check out
You want to order Priority Boxes . The small square boxes and the largest ones are the best

The larger you order the faster they will arrive. I usually order about 200 of each style

Little tip ...if you have a Canada Post account as well . Call them and ask for the FREE plain thermal paper for sticking and printing labels on shipping boxes . Ask for about 4 rolls

If you ever use the American boxes too ship too a Canadian Customer , you can stick the white labels onto the American boxes so the Priority writing is gone

Okay...I must be doing something wrong. Everytime I get to the end of my order on the USPS site, I get the following message:
"Orders for shipping supplies to addresses outside the United States cannot be placed online. If you need to make changes to your shipping address, click here"

The order goes through fine, if I switch to a US address.
Well, I am off to NY to ship the first group...I hope it goes better than my attempts to get free priority boxes delivered here!

You won't get them delivered here Bonnie. They only deliver to a US address.

If it's a PO Box they may have issue with large amounts

Hay woh wants to know how to get USPS Ebay logo boxes . That are not offered on the USPS site

Thanks! Sorry to take so long to get back to the post, but decided to do go skiing after getting back from the USPS. We got some nice snow and we couldn't resist! I did get a PO Box today, when I was at the Lewiston post office. Super nice people there! I was hoping I could get the boxes delivered here, as I was worried they may have an issue with large amounts being delivered to a PO Box. I'll try and keep the orders reasonable. I really don't mind picking the boxes up at the post office, it's more them I was worried about. Does everyone else get their's delivered to a PO Box?
Todd...I thought you were getting them delivered to Canada? No longer? I'd love to hear your hints on the USPS Ebay logo boxes.

If you change your address to your American , in your perferences . The go on too the American Ebay web site , you cna order USPS Boxes with Ebay logo's

In case anyone is interested, I just received a huge order of USPS priority boxes and supplies right here in Canada! I faxed in an order and that must have done the trick. They came via USPS/Canada Post and my little postal outlet was not too happy. They actually phoned and asked if we could come pick them all up. Of course, we were only too happy to do so!
