First avoid sellers who use this
Customs services and international tracking provided
in Search. They are signed up for the Global Shipping Program and discounted shipping is almost impossible to arrange under the Program.
Now.
Contact the seller, BEFORE bidding, telling her exactly which items you want and asking for an exact quote, preferably using USPS First Class International Shipping. Let her know that this service now includes Delivery Confirmation to Canada (which is recent and she may not know), and covers shipments up to four pounds.
When you get an exact quote (Which is like $4.63 not Around four bucks), make your order, and ask for an updated invoice.
If she has problems, tell her NOT to hit Recalculate. I won't explain. Just don't.
