Hello 'kaylafyfem',
The way an item finds its way into your Purchase History awaiting payment requires
a 2-step process: You click to Buy, and then from the huge pop-up you must click again
to Confirm your decision to buy. This you already know.
Thus, it is really quite difficult to buy "accidentally". It is, however, very easy to regret one's
decision and change one's mind. So yes, as the following link explains, you must contact the
seller if you wish to wriggle out of the deal:

In future, to 'window shop' and price compare, use your Watch List. When looking at a listing,
directy under the Bid or Buy button is the phrase Add to watch list. Click that.
Doing so enables you to save loads of listings (up to 200) and ogle them all you want
without ever having to buy.

Good luck
