I have never had so many buyers open disputes over shipping like this b4

is there some kind of slowdown going on at CP?

Parcels taking 3/4 weeks to the USA, Expedited Parcels

unreal I know it gets busy during the Holidays but this is nuts

Think Maybye there trying to push there new fast service?

All I know I have and have had a lot of very angry Buyers this year , it also put down my stars to 4.7 for shipping time and it's not my Fault

I also notice this year buyers are very aggressive in Shipping time, just this week I must of had 10 email from items sold only a couple of days

"I still didn't get my item, if you don't reply I will give you Neg. Feedback"

ya it made me so made one night I just lost it, I refunded the buyer and killed all my auctions , I know it was stupid to do but I got so feed up

Never seen anything like it b4 1 dispute after another , I can understand a month or so, but a week or 2

There must be some new feature to make it very easy and Quick to file a item not received, most likely in big bold red Letters lol

is anyone else having Postal issues, like enough is enough

CP has been awesome, most of my items have reached their destination ahead of schedule. I find CP way better than USPS when it comes to delivery times. Only had one buyer ask where his package is but he was from France, so with the weather being the pits may have cost some delays. I always email my clients when they may expect the delivery and I always give them the outside time. So if it says 10-12 BUSINESS DAYS, then I will figure out the date on the 12 days not the 10. (12 BUSINESS days is equal to 2 1/2 weeks.)

Well I do about the same

Then it must be the nature of the items I have been sending in the last Month

BX cable wire and they weigh each 28 to 41 Lbs per item

more than Likely not all employees are allowed to lift heavy mail

now I get buyers who want combined Shipping on 41 pounds lol when the max at CP is 66 Lbs

This is my second Pallet of these spools and I learned from the first one where I lost my shirt and shorts

they were buying 10 rolls at a time because of my error in putting $15.00 for add. roll

don't know where my brain was that day 🙂

Is there some kind of slowdown at CP?

For US destinations, our shipments flowed way faster in December than the rest of the year - almost uncanny!

We have never had so many buyers leave us feedback within 3-5 days as this December. Even emailed some because we could not believe how fast mail delivery has been.

For most of Europe, mail was a tad slower but nothing major.

it also put down my stars to 4.7 for shipping time and it's not my Fault

Yes, it's your fault.

one night I just lost it

Your DSR's are a direct result of how you feel

Rocky,

I had a look at your site. You have excellent feedback, complete with lots of "fast shipping" and "super-fast shipping" remarks.

Your DSR's are excellent considering the nature (weight) of some of your products.

Frankly, IMO, you don't have much reason to complain. You are doing well and I would have no problem buying from you after looking at your scores.

On another note (and not that I care) but tel #'s in listings are allegedly a "no-no". At least that's what I have been told.

Thanks Xena

I had no idea that my own Company add would be a problem, perhaps I should ask ebay to be 100% sure then I could just edit my own add and remove the number, no big deal

BTW Happy new year to you all and lets hope the tax man gets more easy on us, this business tax is way to high

Maybe I am living on a different planet here; but, didn't anyone posting, notice that we have been experiencing a postal strike/disruption for the past month PLUS- since November 17th.?

Toronto has experienced pickets/ Oakville & Mississaugua was having trucks blocked at the Canada Post facility there. And, rotating strike around the country made the news here. Did this not get reported elsewhere?

We kept adding notes to all our acknowledgment of payments:

Weekend discussions with the PSAC negotiating team fail to bring parties together – Canada Post once again requests members be allowed to vote on final offer
We apologize in advance for any delay this Union action may cause.
While we are reassured that our delivery of mail will only be impacted in the future-
we are totally uncertain about pick-up, and delivery of mail outside of Canada.

PSAC Negotiations – Latest Update

Open Letter to all PSAC Members

It now seems apparent that the strike by PSAC represented employees that began November 17th will last into the New Year. When the Memorandum of Settlement was signed by both negotiating teams last Friday, we were pleased and encouraged by the prospect of having everyone back at work shortly. It was all the more disappointing when events of the weekend made clear this would not happen.

It appears now that the negotiations with PSAC have brought about some resolution. However, there are questions:

Statement by Canada Post regarding ratification vote process and results
Ottawa - After receiving complaints from employees about notification of voting and voting procedures, Canada Post will ask the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) to review the ratification vote held by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC). The ratification vote was for acceptance of the tentative agreement reached with Canada Post on Friday, December 12th. Of concern is the fact that the PSAC failed to comply with the signed Memorandum of Settlement, in which they agreed to put the corporation's final offer to a vote by its members.

Employees have complained of inconsistent communications from the union related to vote times and locations; some employees received phone calls notifying them of vote times and locations, others did not. Employees attending the meetings were refused the right to vote; employees reported that union representatives isolated those who crossed picket lines, calling them "scabs", and encouraged other members to do the same.

The union has announced that members who did vote rejected a tentative agreement that had been reached Friday night with the assistance of a mediator. Canada Post will be asking the CIRB to review all aspects surrounding the voting.

The Union has stated that the main point of contention is Canada Post's attempt to introduce a Short Term Disability Program. Canada Post believes that the Short Term Disability program would provide coverage to all employees when they most need it. The Corporation maintains the need to introduce changes including the Short Term Disability Program to protect the long-term viability of benefits for all employees and the company as a whole. The offer presented to employees contained significant wage increases, a signing bonus and a one-time payment to recognize employees for good attendance.

The Union of Postal Communications Employees (UPCE), represented by PSAC, have been on strike since November 17th. The 2,100 members are predominantly administrative and technical employees and do not handle the mail. Canada Post has been successfully moving the mail throughout the strike, using any means necessary, including injunctions and court-ordered protocols when required. The November lettermail service performance results, as calculated by IBM, indicate clearly that Canada Post continues to meet its service standards.

While Canada Post awaits word from the union on their availability to resume talks, hundreds of employees represented by PSAC have already chosen to cross the picket line and return to work. Canada Post will continue to welcome all of its employees back to work.

I want to let you know that I have experienced the same problem. Since eBay has limited to positive feedback I have had to block three times as many buyers from my site. I guess that buyers are flexing their muscles and are ready to punish sellers for the slightest mistake. I am considering that I may have stop selling overseas. It takes any were from 4 to 12 weeks for overseas parcels. I use Paypal for shipping parcels and they still allow non delivery disputes after 2 weeks on overseas parcels. It’s crazy.

yes it's been made to easy for buyers to open disputes, it's become like ask seller a ? and Paypal holds the funds right of the bat

Had 1 person file a dispute because I did not provide a tracking number after 2 days of sale, a 10$ buckle with free shipping, there seem to no rules that govern opening a dispute

the buyer has way to much power period...

The strike concerning Canada Post is limited to inside office workers mainly handling registered mail and expresspost. So if everything is written properly and all info required is filled out there is no problem, however, if there is something that need to be "checked" will say, shipping will take awhile. As long as you have a tracking number or an email from the buyer saying they have received it Paypal will protect you from this new breed of extremely impatient buyers.

Dont see how there helping me, I have the Tracking numbers for the Expedited Parcels and they immediately freeze the funds

even when a buyer files before the date that is estimated to arrive when they file a dispute paypal hold s the funds and wont release them till the buyer closes it

I had one buyer that even wrote in the dispute that he got his item and made me wait 3 days to close it and all that time Paypal had my funds

Thats not fair play is it?

one time this buyer opened a dispute 2 days after payment because I didn't provide her with a Tracking number, I told her there is no tracking number for Light Packet

There should be some rules in place for buyers to open disputes

it's like open season for buyers, seems to me there is no control at all Lately at Paypal

on another note I had 3 chargers from my debit card that are not mine so after a few phone calls I got as far as Having my Card canceled and doubt I will get another since they don't issue any more to Canada , The rep Lied to me and said don't worry I just ordered you a new one

I bet you all the tea in China I will not get one, they wont even reply to my emails about that issue, it's like taboo or something

getting back to those 500$ charges , well I had to print this affidavit form and now mail it to them, I would say that will take 3 months

Very upset with paypal I must say there service has gone from not bad to unacceptable, Imagine if our Banks treated us this way Geeeeeeeeeez

Happy New year

I agree with xealook. Shipping has been the fastest ever for December, even in Canada. International has been amazing the last few months. And shipping to the US, super fast.

I felt CP was just amazing this month 🙂
