Dear eBay members,
I am a new eBay member and am trying to create my listing to sell my product. My item location is located in Hong Kong but I want to sell it via e.bay Canada.
I encountered a problem in filling in the blank about “Domestic shipping”. I selected "Flat: same cost to all buyers" and it pops up the following warning:
“We're unable to calculate your shipping cost based on your current item location. Please enter a valid item location which includes the City, Postal/Zip Code and Country. If your item location is not within Canada, please select flat rate shipping.”
Actually, I have already based on its' suggestion to select “Flat: same cost to all buyers”, however it still doesn’t work and I continue the next step. Besides, there is no Postal code in Hong Kong.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Many thanks.
J

Take your time.
Continue to fill in the form. Use the Flat Rate Shipping. If it won't let you fill in some part, just ignore it and continue to the bottom of the form.
Then.
The form will kick you back up to the top of the page and demand that you fill in the bits you didn't. And when you click on these (still in the box at the top of the page) you should be able to fill in the amounts you want to charge.
Remember that on eBayCanada, domestic means within Canada. When you go to International you can either use Custom Location more than once to give various charges for various destinations, or use the same price for the entire world.
I think HongKong Post is pretty cheap? Have you considered using Free Shipping? This really means the shipping cost is included in the asking price. But Free Shipping gives you an automatic Five Star Rating for shipping cost, which is well worth while for new sellers.
Oh, and always use Air Mail. Always.
