RE: eBay Customer Support

Hi, i was looking to find an email in order to contact you guys (eBay) directly but i couldn't find an email so i decided to bring my problem here!

I bought a golf glove off a user but it was wrong because i selected the wrong hand by accident. I then placed my new order with the same seller for the "right" hand. So now i proceed to message the seller in regards to cancelling my previous accidental order.

The seller said he could not cancel it for me but told me to wait it out until the payment period is over, then that's when the order will be cancelled.

But i just got that order cancellation today and it says my account will have a "unpaid item recorded onto your account".

Both the seller and i agreed that no payment was needed and we considered it cancelled but now i have a flag onto my account for not paying for it because the seller couldn't cancel it for some odd reason.

Can someone from eBay help me out and remove that flag from my account please? Thanks!

RE: eBay Customer Support

The note was probably automatic.

The seller needs to send you a request for a Mutual Cancellation. This will release both of you from the first transaction and will allow both of you to leave feedback. The seller will get his selling fees (nearly 10% of what you paid him goes directly to eBay) back.

http://resolutioncentre.ebay.ca/  is where he goes to start the process.

We all need a helping hand from time to time.

RE: eBay Customer Support

OOPS! When he sends the cancellation request, you should agree to it immediately. It will close eventually, but closing it allows the seller to put the listing back up quickly.

And when you leave feedback, I hope you will leave the seller excellent DSRs for being so cooperative in correcting your error. Five stars would be reasonable. (If a seller's DSRs drop below 4.3, his ability to list and sell are severely restricted.

RE: eBay Customer Support

you will have to contact ebay to have the unpaid strike removed. best to call them. explain the email about the cancellation request and the sellers response. they will review it and likely take the unpaid strike off.

unpaid strikes are no big deal unless you get more than 2, but if if bothers you get it taken off. even with 2 or more, most sellers don't filter out those buyers, but many smaller sellers do.
