Re: opening a dispute. Is the 45 day limit based on the end of the auction or when payment was made?

I've read on the forum that disputes need to be made 45 days after payment was made, but I was under the impression that it was 45 days after the end of the listing.  Which is correct?  Also, what time is it based on , ie. Eastern standard time, Ebay time, Pacific Standard time?  Personally, I would be filing on day 42 or 43, but would like to know exactly what is meant by the 45 day limit.   Thanks!

Hi pmlinne.. Ebay ca is covered by PayPal protection as opposed to eBay on com. Com says won date...PP states..Open a Dispute. Open a Dispute within 45 Days of the date you made the payment for the item you would like to dispute to negotiate with the Seller for resolution of the Dispute. We will place a hold on all funds related to the transaction in the Seller's Account until the Dispute is resolved or closed.

File in PP's resolution center.

Might give a bit room room in a deadline case than listing date. Play it safe a file by day 43. Deadline is a case of can or can't I assume time is Eastern.
