I have tax tables set in both e-bay and paypal preferences, still taxes are not get applied on purchased unless manually entered trough e-bay invoicing.
Does this work for anybody automatically without manual intervention?

The eBay invoice generator will then apply the tax schedule in the table according to the buyers registered address.
You can also set up multiple tables, so if you are selling goods that are exempt from the provincial tax you would have 2 tables and selct which one applies when creating the listing.
Don't get too creative, it's not a very sofisticated algorythm.

My Site Preferences are:
Use checkout Yes
Offer PayPal on my listings Yes
Display "PayPal Preferred" on my listings No
Include my items when buyers pay all their Sellers at once using PayPal Yes
Allow Buyers to edit payment totals No
Use this payment address See Addresses under My Account.
Use sales tax table Yes
Anybody can tell me what's going on? Was the buyer able to remove the taxes and edit the shipping? Or it's an eBay "make the buyer happy" glitch?

With competing marketplaces popping up all over the globe, I wonder how long will eBay buggy platform stand against better-writen competitors once they get to some serious trqaffic. eBay is like "Yahoo" of internet commerce, with bloated website and living off old fame. I wonder who will be "Google" of internet commerce taking it by storm with well thought algorithms and simple and working website ... 😉
