Selling from Canada when inventory is in the USA - how do I change the location shipping from?

When I enter the ZIP code it errors and requests correct "postal code" - I'm a CDN account shipping from a US location.

Generally it is a good idea not to attempt selling on eBay until you have done some buying. Not only does this give you an idea of the customer experience (good and bad) which is useful to a seller, but it builds your feedback which is a measure of trust.

If you are shipping from the USA you have two choices.

If you want to use eBayCANADA, you will have to choose Flat Rate Shipping. Weigh and measure your packaged (!) items carefully and read the USPS website thoroughly to determine the best fee to charge.

Remember that Shipping and Handling means postage and packaging. Bubblewrap ain't free.

In addition, be sure you give the LOCATION of the goods not of yourself. Your customers need to know whether or not they can expect customs duties on their doorstep.

Or you can use eBaydotCOM, the US site.

Now you can still use Flat Rate Shipping, but it will probably be more advantageous to use Calculated Shipping.

Use the zipcode of the location of your supplier or warehouse.

And again its the Location of the goods not of you.

Are you aware that your customers' cleared payments will be Held for 21 days against your good performance. Or if you are dropshipping, against the performance of your supplier? Will you be able to pay your supplier after that time has passed or will you be out of pocket until the Hold period passes?

This is a Buyer Protection policy on the part of eBay/Paypal. It applies to all new sellers and is nothing personal. Another policy you will run into is the restriction on the number and value of the products you can offer while you learn the ropes.
