Someone wants me to end my auction sooner

Hi,

I sell hockey cards for a few months now and this is the first time this is happening.

I received a message from the person that says :

''Hey!

Would you end auction early and take a $225 cdn paypal transfer? You would save the 10% seller fee.

Cheers,
''

Is it something that I can trust or scam but the person has a 100% feedback with 737 transactions member since a lot of time.

Should I trust someone like this ?!

All buyers have 100% positive feedback. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback. (But you could run his name on Toolhaus for FB from before the policy was instituted.)

This is a common scam. Members are not supposed to make offers unless the seller has opted to recieve Best Offers. So you already know he is a bit of a scofflaw.

And you are dealing in a high fraud/high testosterone category.

Uh-huh.

He wants an off-eBay transaction. Even more of a scofflaw.

Silly twit doesn't know that Paypal's seller protections are very similar and almost as strong as eBay's. Criminals are often dumb.

Thank him for the offer and invite him to bid.

If he wins (chances are you will never hear from him again. This is not a bad thing.) be sure to ship with a service that used Signature Confirmation of Delivery. Belts and braces time.

Politely.-- Captain Malcolm Reynolds.

NO!!!!!

If they are offering $225, the card must be worth more. Have you looked at completed listings or done a google search for the item? Add that person to your blocked bidders list.

Even if the card isn't worth more than $225, I still wouldn't trust that person. They need to buy the item as it is listed or move on. Buyers should not be dictating how a seller runs their listing.

**********************************************************************************

Non payers should get unpaid item strikes and be added to block bidders lists. Period.
