I just Can't believe This, Twice this week I get a buyer emailing me and telling me there buckle is Scratched, I check every item that leaves here.

here is a quote from her email

" just receive my belt buckle but she is damaged,
she is scratched ,thing that was not mention in your description.
50emile....."

now this one don't speak english nor french, she must just browse and hassle sellers in this way. It's that Dam feedback system playing again.

here is the listing, Should I include may have a SCRATCH or 2

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190180734834&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:CA:1123

Twice in a week, it sucks big time, it's only a small amount and all this hassle for nothing, now like a fool I got to send her another so she wont neg. me. I guess she needs 2 of them.

I am afraid That one more and I will snap Back and not be Mr. Nice guy anymore.

There has to be a place for these people or at least somewhere on ebay that you make a note of this buyer and
if the system see's a lot of this kind of activity they should ban the person and remove all the negs. and neuts. she has left.
ThanksX-(

Have you asked her to take a pic and forward it to you? Its the least expensive way to determine if the goods are legitimately damaged. I might email her and say "I'm sorry to hear that the buckle arrived damaged - could you forward a picture of the scratches so that I can address this problem with my supplier? Thanks!"

Generally, buyers that are working a "scam" target items that exceed $6 in value. Some buyers have an extremely critical eye and it may just be a case of someone expecting perfection in a mass produced item. What she calls a scratch may be something you view as a normal production flaw.

Very Hard to Talk to this one, like I mentioned she don't speak eng. nor Fre. I sent the response in both lang.

It's not worth the headache to ask her for a pic. would most likely make damage and then take a pic.

I just printed her a new shipping Label & opened the well
wrapped buckle & inspected it with a magnifier glass lol.

This way I don't make any $ on this sale but avoid bad feedback which she still might, Glad I stopped Giving feedback ahead, there has to be a better system.

The reason I changed Supplier in the first place was due to quality and these are pretty nice & well packed.

or like you say perhaps she's just a fuss mutt and the other dude aswell, it's the third one coming "Hope Not"
that worries me lol

Thanks for the insight
Tibor:-)

I always ask for a picture....very nicely. If they have a legitimate beef they usually try to get it for me.

Tell me do I have to wait for a dispute to end before I can relist that item?

You don't "have to" but there are two reasons why you might want to:

1 - the dispute might wake up the buyer, if they pay you want to have the item to send to them.

2 - if you file and close the dispute the item becomes eligible for the potential relist credit.

If that situation sucks, then, heres the ELECTROLUX! I sold a sports cardabout 3 weeks ago. I mailed the card to a buyer who's account was suspended by Ebay before the card was at the post office. 2 weeks later I watched the same card(#'d out of 199 and copied my pic) being auctioned under a different sellers name. The card sells, for less than what I was paid, and now that sellers account is suspended by Ebay. 5 days later, PayPal notifies me that an unreceived item dispute has been filed! What a load of crap! Hope that buyer gets what he deserves this holiday season. Enjoy the holidays!

Yes That sure sucks, There should be a rule When a seller has a Least 100 selling feedback score That items
sold under a set amount of money, let's say $100.00 That
all those sales are final & no recurse to a dispute.

Ebay has to to something soon, there is a new generation of Scammeres out there and word is around " I am sure"
Look what I got Free on Ebay.

Hope that nerd who bought your card, get's Aids.

Merry Xmass all:-)

I have no doubt that there are more scam sellers than buyers, if not in sheer numbers then certainly in the damage they cause.

I would have to strongly disagree with that, since sellers are controlled to a certain point with feedback. There reputation is on the line.

Cheers!:)

Unfortunately, no. There are a lot of sellers who set up multiple selling accounts so when one is destroyed by negative feedback, they can simply move on to another. I would have to agree with recped that there are a lot more unscrupulous sellers on ebay than buyers.

Then ebay should put some controls in place.

Absolutely, but it's very difficult to police. Scammers can eventually figure their way around just about any safe-guards that are put in place.

The buyers broken english is an indication they are scamming buyers in the buyers feedback comments. The buyer has how many hundred transactions on ebay and in the real world nobody talks like that unless they are scamming on the internet. Reminds me of many buyers who's English is perfect when they first email you but when there is a scam all of a sudden they no speak English. Get an image of the item they are stating is damaged. This is a Professional Scammer.
