The first is a person purchased a brooch from me and requested a total for shipping to France. I gave the letterpost amount which they didn't like and now are requesting that I bill them as if they are in Montreal. However, the address on the invoice is France. So they want me to insert the Montreal price into the France invoice, then ship it to an address in Montreal that they will give me. If I'm not mistaken, I won't be covered under any seller's protection if I do this. Is that right? So what do I do now.
And,
A buyer purchased a book, got exactly what they asked for, but now doesn't want it and doesn't want to send it back because postage to return it is $10.45. So what do I do?

How much is the brooch? No, yer not covered. Your choice. I do not care where I send things, others do not feel the same way. Send it to Montreal or file the UID and move on.
Second one is "too bad so sad". Find policy for buyer's remorse and send it to them. Major retailers require the buyer to pay the return postage for this very reason.

You have no seller protection mailing by letter post to either France or Montreal...that requires delivery confirmation.

If the buyer pays through Paypal using the Montreal address, you'll be covered as long as you have tracking.
What the person in Montreal does after he receives it is not your concern.

Thanks all. The buyer has not paid for the brooch yet, so soon eBay's automatic system will kick in and spare me the grief. The brooch isn't too expensive; the whole situation is more of a pain than anything else. The other problem, I refunded to avoid poor feedback. In turn, the buyer (who was told to keep the book) gave me excellent feedback. lol
