bogus paypal payment letters

There is a new ( to me ) Paypal payment letter scam that started last week. A Payment letter from a non existant customer arrives with a handy link for me to check the details fo the transaction. I never go from a link in an email to my Paypal account so I wasnt stung, but if you get unexpected money from a Rosie Ramirez it's probably a fake. The English is a bit "stilted" I'm wondering what name they will use next as a "customer"

I have had this before. This is nothing new, but I can see how alot of people would fall for this. There are just so many scams out there now, everyone should remember to NEVER click on links to Paypal that they recieve in their email. You should always go directly to the paypal site, that way you are safe.
