Well, my cell phone died a couple of weeks ago, and I was able to get a nice deal on a new Blackberry Storm through Bell. After a brief learning curve with the touch screen, this thing has really afforded me alot more freedom from eBay (ie. constantly checking emails, replying to emails, feeling like I always have to keep checking my eBay account and never getting away from my computer, etc).

For about 30 bucks more a month, I now recieve unlimited emails from anywhere, reply to them instantly (customers love that), and browse my eBay when needed. I am in constant contact with my sales reps, and never miss a thing. Plus, I do have the added bonus of just shutting it off when out for dinner, or anytime I feel like it. I recommend it to anyone, and wish I'd had it months ago!

Cheers,
AXE B-)

My cell is slowly dying too and I've been thinking of getting a storm. How do you find it for surfing on ebay and other sites?

Because of its size, it takes a while to expand each view to be able to touch (select) the tab that you want to enter. I would never use it exclusively for internet browsing- there's nothing like the good ole big screen computer and proper keyboard for that, but it is a pretty handy tool when you are away from your computer and need to check on your eBay account.
Its primary bonus for me, is the email accessibility.
When an item sells or a buyer has a question or one of my sales reps has a "special of the day", I know right away, whether I'm at the grocery store, in the car or at home.
Like I said, I'm pretty pleased with it, and with my rather large fingers, I am still able to navigate the touch screen pretty well (even for texting back and forth with my teenagers!)

My daughter got an iphone, just about 8 months ago.
And she loves it.

When we were on holidays in the Dominican she hooked up to the internet and had everything taken care of in a flash.

Me on the other hand had to find an internet cafe or hotel internet site because there was no wireless on the island.

I am just waiting for my son's phone contract to be up so I can do the same.

I am a hardcore MAC user so the iphone is the logically choice for me because of the convenience of all the programmes that I can download off my computer for the phone and viceversa.

Have a great day, Loré:-x

I picked up a Blackberry Bold last summer and am on Rogers. Aside from the keyboard being small for my big hands I love it. I can get emails just about anywhere ( except for the cottage on Manitoulin Island) and can use the thing to send Ebay invoices when I sell something. I have done invoicing while on the ChiCheemaun Ferry, in the car while waiting for my wife, etc. No looking for a place to plug in my laptop. I can check the PAypal account but its sort of Paypal Lite - they tell me what my total balance is but they don't display the different currencies that make up the balance. The screen is small but all in all I love the thing

Reading this makes me want to get a new phone even more! Thank you for the comments.
I think it will be either the Storm or the IPhone depending on the costs per month. First though I had better look into buying a new pc. This one isn't going to last much longer. I can't complain though as its 8 years old...an antique in the pc world.

Can I ask a some what ill-informed question?
What happens to the original email? Does it go to both your phone & computer email system?
And what about your replies can you set it up to save a copy of your reply back to your email?

Hi,
Yes I have it set up by Bell to have my incoming emails going to both the Blackberry Storm and my office computer. Outgoing emails are only kept on the system that I send it on. (I imagine it can be set up for both systems to receive your outgoing emails, but for me, that would be a lot of extra deleting to do).
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Cheers,
AXE

with Blackberry (Bold or Storm), do you have the option to disable the bottom text when replying to any email.. Text that says something like "replied using my blackberry" ??

You can change it to whatever you want in Blackberry email set up.
