hello...silly question but I have searched the site and cant find the answer. how long do I have to report an item missing to ebay

Hi I purchaed a package from an international buyer.  It has not arrived, that was November 14th. I have emailed them just letting me know.  They did email back and ask me to give it seven more days.  I have no problem with that.  However want to make sure to cover my own interest that I report it as lost before any expiry period...I have searched the website and can`t find the answer.  How long do I have to report it missing to ebay?

To be safe with time differences its best to file by day 43 from date of payment.

You have up to 45 days to file an item not received dispute. For international transactions, you will have to give at least 30 days since items can be held up in customs.

You can wait a little longer if you or you can file the dispute now. Just make sure you do not exceed 45 days.
