WHAT CAN I DO NOW?
I bought and paid for an item when the seller contacted me to advise of a serious health problem which would delay her shipping the item to me. Being naive, I was kind and assured her that she should look after herself and ship whenever she could. When correspondence lapsed, I contacted her and found out that her ebay account had been closed with no way of contacting her further. I contacted PayPal re: a refund but, since more than 45 days had elapsed, they could not do anything for me.
I believe that this seller may have set up another new account and is selling the item that I had purchased. How do I check to see if the same person is the holder of this account and, if so, can ebay do anything to punish this seller and refund my transaction amount? For me, it was a significant amount of money.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi.. Difficult if not impossible to open a new account once suspended..
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/account/suspended-accounts.html
Being understanding is ok to a point and the point is 45 days. Its your money on the line.
Did you fund payment with a credit card. If so , call the 800 # on reverse and request a chargeback. Have all details on hand when calling.

Hi heidilynn0_3!
Thank you for your reply. I believe that the seller in my case closed her account of her own accord not due to a suspension. I will follow-up with my credit card company as I did not even think of that. Thanks so much for the tip!! As you can tell, I am new to ebay and all these processes.
Thanks, again,
