So you received two contradictory messages?
Are you the buyer or the seller?
If you are the seller, don't worry. Was your package actually 'tracked' or was it Delivery Confirmed? If the latter, the postie marks it delivered when she drops it off. The other message is just not up to date. DC really only marks when the parcel is dropped at the PO and when it is delivered.
Tracking gives more precise information, but the PO is more interested in getting the mail moving than keeping progress of the mail up to date on the web.
Which, in my opinion, is as it should be.
If your buyer is not contacting you, saying the parcel has not arrived, don't panic. It will sort itself out-- probably by noon tomorrow.
If you are the buyer, there is both more and less to worry about.
Basically tracking (and DC) are used to protect the seller (not the buyer) against phony non-delivery claims.
If you have not received your purchase but the Canada Post website is saying you have, look around for a delivery slip. Ask your housemates who may have put the slip (or the parcel) in a very safe place.
Then with or without the slip, go to the local PO and ask if it has been left by the postie. If it has, you will need photo ID with your address to claim it.
If it has definitely not been delivered, and you can't get help from the household, notify the seller. The fact that it has been marked delivered is a problem, since it automatically means you would lose a formal Dispute.

What femmefan said with the one thing that I can add being that if tracking says Delivered and you really, really don't have it, wait 24 hours. Sometimes carriers scan stuff as they put it on the truck for delivery instead of at the door as it is delivered. This is a no-no but it still happens. If, after 24 hours, you really don't have it, this may be a case of Delivery Scan Error and basically you need the cooperation of your seller to find out the reason for that. If you don't have cooperation from your seller, it becomes a matter of reporting theft to the police and you should call Canada Post to tell them that after you have your incident report.
It could either be as benign as a website delay, parcel left in the barbecue as safe-drop, simple scan error or as malignant as delivered to the wrong address, theft by mail carrier (unlikely as their job would be lost as well as charges laid) or theft by neighbour or passer-by. If you live in the kind of area where stuff is likely to be stolen from your doorstep, you might consider Canada Post's Flex Delivery program where you have parcels shipped to a PO Box at an authorized dealer of your choice. I haven't used the program myself; it's new. I can't vouch for it but I know it exists and more information is at https://www.canadapost.ca/web/en/pages/fd/default.page?s_kwcid=AL!4354!3!67097040055!b!!g!!%2Bcanada...
Good luck. If you think of it, let us know how things turn out so that we may provide better insight for the next member who comes to the board with this same kind of problem.
