neg

I received a neg from a "buy it now" buyer 3 days after the purchase. the buyer never attempted to contact me, just left a neg. the buyer feedback is -1. i don't believe that the buyer ever acted in good faith and never intended to complete the transaction. i would like to get rid of this stain on my record. completely. what are my options?

First step is to pull his contact info and attempt to telephone him. If the contact info is incorrect you can have the negative removed easily.

Hi Monique,
Thanks for your response.
In the interim I called ebay through the "Power Seller" option.
I explained the circumstances and then they asked me to wait on the line. 5 minutes later they came back on and informed me that they had cancelled his account and advised me that they would immediately refund my listing fee and would delete the neg from my feedback.
They have cancelled his account (not a registered user). I was requested to send an email to ebay informing them of this, which I did. Rudy at Power Sellers said he would also. As of this time the neg is still there.
I will update you as to circumstances and procedures as they come into effect.
Thanks again,
Brian

I hope you don't run into the same problem I am having now. My last neg is from a user I reported for having invalid contact info. I called and they said no one by that name lives there. Ebay suspended thier account but when they call no one there picks up the phone or returns thier msgs. They said that until they can prove that the contact info is false they will not remove it. They recommended applying to have the feedback mutually removed but that is impossible since they have the user as not registered. I've called them (ebay) twice to no avail.

Seems like some people here don't know what they're doing.

1) If you got a neg from a buyer who didn't intend to complete the transaction, apply to have it removed on the grounds that the feedback was left to harass you.

2) If a member is NARU, apply to have the negative they left you removed on the grounds that they left it while having invalid contact info.

Feedback removal is very easy. The form is here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-removal.html

Neither of you should be having these problems. Simply fill out the form and the feedback will disappear.

I fully understand how to have negatives removed, this isn't my main account. I've had many removed due to someone being NARU or invalid contact info but ebay won't remove this one...I've spoke with the people at ebay safeharbor as well as filled out the form many times. They keep telling me they can't remove it as they are unable to get ahold of anyone at the # provided. As such they have NARU'd the person until they can verify the info. In the mean time the feedback stays until someone picks up. I got ahold of someone once and the person doesn't live there, this is getting to be a real pain. It should be a simple removal. They told me to apply for mutual feedback withdrawl but I tried to explain that you can't as the person is NARU'd.

How annoying, huh?

Don't do the mutual thing anyway. You should get it TOTALLY removed.
