used tracking number and item has not moved

I used the tracking number given by seller and it's been two weeks with no movement from original postal location. It's like the item I paid for never left sellers city of origin. lol Has this happened to anyone else.

Yes, when I buy from say China or U.S. and just pay  for snail mail - no tracking but sometimes a tracking no. is given anyway.  It just shows the day it was mailed and at what facility.  It'll be on it's way and no, it's not stuck there.

Many "tracking" numbers are actually "confirmation of delivery" numbers.

With DC, a seller can show Paypal that the item the disgruntled buyer is claiming was never delivered actually was. Tracking shows where the item was last scanned.

There is no advantage to the buyer in Delivery Confirmation or tracking.

If an item has not been delivered in a timely manner, and the seller has not been helpful (giving the "DC" or "tracking" number is at least friendly), then the buyer should go to Paypal with and Item Not Delivered claim.

Within Canada, I would allow 20 days for delivery. From the USA again about 20 days. From Europe, about 15 days. From Asia, about 30 days. Then ask the seller. If there is no useful response after one working day (watch those weekends!), then go to PP.

You have up to 45 days to start a claim. Don't leave it longer than 42 days.

If the seller used Paypal shipping labels, the buyer gets an email notification that the label has been purchased.
