The other number is probably the number of people who have looked at your item but not necessarily put it on their watch list.

Watch count is the number of different people who are watching you auction.

They could be potential bidders or could be other sellers who have similar items for sale.

In the end it is the number of bids that count so do get excited if you have several people watching.
