why does paypal take so long to transfered funds from bank?

ok now it's 10 days and still no transfered funds from bank to paypal account.

Are we canadians not as good members as americans.:-(

Hi stan.. Should clear tomorrow. If you did on the 6th, today is the 7th business day. Holidays and weekends don't count and you are over 2 weekends. Try to do at the first of the week to avoid the second weekend.

As long as PayPal relies on the US banks antiquated ACH clearing system, no improvement can be expected.

You can avoid this delay entirely by adding a credit card to your PayPal account,this way,payments from your bank account are instant,no need to transfer funds to your PayPal account or use echeques.

scifan: that is not true that bank transfers clear instantly if you add a CC, I have a CC attatched to my paypal account and I sometimes transfer from paypal, however when I pay via bank it takes 10 days for it to "clear"

I'm afraid that you are incorrect. Inhave a credit card attached to my paypal account.When I choose my bank account as a funding source,the payment to the seller is instant,no echeque is involved and the seller has his money right away. My previous post said nothing about transferring money from a bank account to PayPal.
