My cost was 2.50 but with ebays commision on shipping of
1.55 and thier commision of .86 cents and paypal commision on using them .98 cents that cost me 5.89 so I made whole .61 cents When is ebay going to quit charging a commision on shipping We are not like the USA and have media mail as you all know books get charged with weight only Anyone have a suggestion I really dont like working for ebay and not getting a cheque from for my time

They are not. Not only is it a profit centre for them, but it allows them to stop the practice of making a low asking price then attaching a huge shipping price. (For example, a poster recently was told that his $5 item will cost $125 to ship from the USA) (This is actually not covered by the policy, but that was the sort of thing that was happening a LOT).
Some things are not practical for mail order. Low priced but heavy or bulky items are among those. I take it you are complaining about the romance novels that sold for $6.50 not the similar larger lots that sold for about $25. Once you start looking at the dimensional costs of shipping, you will easily see how many books you can put in a lot before the rate goes up.

what I hate about shipping fees is I just had a new customer buy 8 magazines and pay separately for each, overpaying her shipping by $25 and Ebay charges me fees on those shipping charges and I have to refund the buyer and can't make a claim for those fees, have tried and they just say "why did you refund the buyer?"
