wrong parts

I recently received an order from seller that was not as described. over half the parts in the kits description didn,t even get shipped. when I told them I wanted what I paid for they blamed it on another company that they bought off and said if I want I can have my money back .i don,t want my money back I want the parts that were described that they took my money for. how can I hold the company accountable for this kind of false advertising and lack of trying to make things right.

Offering your money back can hardly be described as 'not trying to make things right.'

In the circumstances they may have done all they can by offering this refund, and there is no chance whatsoever of you obtaining 'specific performance' of your contract, despite your entitlement to it.

They don't have the parts. They explained that and offered your money back.

Although you could open a Paypal dispute as Item Not As Described, PP would only give you the same refund that you have already been offered and that only when you had returned the item to the seller with Confirmation of Delivery.

Which is expensive.

Take the money, toss the unwanted item and buy from another seller.

Hmm. This sort of thing usually happens when you are buying from a dropshipper. If the new seller's listing appears very similar or even identical to the first, you will probably run into the same or similar problems. On the other hand, the incorredt new shipment may have the parts missing from the first shipment.

I call it false advertising. if they know and I,m sure they do that the parts although offered are not in the kit why keep the ad the same and waste my precious time. now I will lose money shipping it back and the time to do it. I would love to tell the community their company name to warn people of their wastefull ways. the part was cheap but the shipping was almost 5o bucks. it will cost that again to ship it back for a few bucks back in my pocket for the original price of the parts. that means I lose money. do think they might of thought of that and that's why they will sell it? almost a garantie that they wont have to pay the money back.

and said if I want I can have my money back

Are they requiring that the item be returned? if not take their offer.

If they are, they are using the Standard Practice as demanded by the PP Buyer Protection Policy.

You won't get a better deal either way.

The part cost the total of the asking price and the shipping price. Was that cheaper than purchasing locally?

It is not unusual for sellers to make an ridiculously low asking price and put their actual price into the shipping. EBay discourages this by charging a fee as a percentage of  shipping that is the same as the fee on the sale.

Which is cheapest :

A $5 item with $50 shipping

A $50 item with $5 shipping

A $55 item with Free Shipping.?
