On our way to a area we visit every year or two there is a abandoned Restaurant in a Small Community we pass through.
The building is boarded up and looks like it has been for years . May or may not have items of interest inside but that's not what attracts it to us.
Outside hanging from the front wall there is a 25 to 30 foot Vintage Neon/Light Bulb lit up sign just hanging there. It's a killer sign great design and most of the colors are still bright and vibrant. The Neon and wiring needs to be replaced and some touch up is required but if restored it would be fantastic
What a shame it's sitting outside in the elements it is going to go down hill soon if not saved
Each time we go through this community we stop and take pictures of it. Each time the locals come out and watch us doing so. No one has approached us when we are doing this but I'm sure a number think we are nuts. We get some pretty strange looks
Have often thought we should try and find out if the person who owns the property would sell it but then my better senses hit me
Its over 25 feet long and probably weighs 600 lbs or more
If they said yes what would I do with it?
We have a mini van, realistically we could not transport it that way would need a flatbed and even if we got one where to put it when we got home? We live in a nice one bedroom apartment. If we could get it up here we would be climbing over it
So all we can do is stop and take pics (We have a nice collection of them) and then look at them from time to time and wish
Keep hoping we can find a way to do it but ................
Dang I hate having Rational Thoughts sure interferes with what I want at times
