Shipping Label processing time

Anyone else seeing inconsistancies for length of time to be charged for eBay Labels.

Generated on Aug 31. Charged Sept 2.

Generated on Aug 25. Charged Aug 28

Generated Aug 20. Charged Aug 21

Generated Aug 31. Not charged

Sept 3. Not charged

Sept 4. Not charged

For the longest time they were processing between 24 and 36 hours. Even had a few that had NOT be delivered to PO. that were charged.

Shouldn't there be some sort of consistency with billing??? I've even noticed major discrepancies for how long it takes for payments from buyers to be released. 1/2/3 days as of late.

This on again off again issue tends to make things challenging for sellers who are willing to partially refund when buyer has overpaid for shipping. Buyers may be left with the impression that seller has inflated their shipping costs (in some situations) when in fact they are just being cautious.

Re: Shipping Label processing time

Most of mine up to mid January have been charged, exception is for 3, from Dec 3, 4 and 15. Interesting bit is those 3 were Eis sales, shipping to Ontario.

Today my one missing old uncharged label from December 1 showed up as a transaction!

Total Expedited Lite label rate to the Hub was $11.67 ... this was when the rates were all messed up that week due to technical error...

Please note: due to a technical error, some sellers may have seen incorrectly high rates for select Canada Post services this week. eBay is addressing this issue and will issue automated credits for sellers impacted by these rates over the next 2-3 weeks.

Wonder if any credits will show up for it...

Re: Shipping Label processing time

Yesterday I got 2 charges for labels bought in beginning of December. Eis ones, both around $9.

@mrdutch1001  This has been an ongoing issue for sellers since early/mid last year.  There are the discussion posts to back that up. Whenever there has been a fix it's been temporary at best. According to the page where labels are generated we should be seeing the actual charge very quickly. I have labels where items were delivered already and the charge still hasn't been processed. Others have reported using UPS and not seeing charges until just after the item is delivered. (Often increased.)

I "believe" I too have one or 2 hiding from back in that time period. Because of eBay settings you can only see back to late Dec. They fall off the grid. If this lack of consistency is here to stay there needs to be a way to reconcile labels created for minimum of 6 months. And when label charges are modified either up or down the final charges needs to include the reasoning.

Re: Shipping Label processing time

I've had 14 labels finally charged over the last 3 days in this store. Another 10 in my book store. Not a big fan of them being done in large, delayed batches like that.
