A seller put in an item last week

A seller put in an item last week (item #200945993108) priced @ $3 but then proceeded to switch the item to a different value while maintaining the $3 starting bid even though there was at least one bid on it. How can that be I wondered? Is that permitted? The item did eventually sell at the end of the week.

I'm not sure what you mean by switching the item to a different value since the price remained the same.

A seller can change certain things on a live listing although they can not make as many changes when there is a bid on the item.

But it looks like the revisions were done on July 23 at 5:30 p.m. est and the first bid was later that same night just before 9 p.m. If you click on the number of bids and then on show automatic bids on the top right, you'll see when the first bid was placed by proxy.
