RECENTLY I TRIED TO SELL SOME ITEMS ON EBAY FOR A 30 DAY PERIOD AND NOT EVEN A NIBBLE. I TRIED THEM BECAUSE WHERE I LIVE I HAD TRIED KIJIJI WITH 130 ACTIVE LISTINGS AND NO DICE REGARDLESS OF PRICE OR CONDITION EVEN NEW. GRANTED SOME OF MY ITEMS ARE WHAT IS REFERRED TO AS NICHE ITEMS.I THINK WHAT THE PROBLEM IS LACK OF DISPOSABLE INCOME. COVID DECIMATED THE THE BUYING AND SELLING MARKETS. PEOPLE ARE OUT OF WORK AND ARE CUTTING BACK EVEN ON ESSENTIALS. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT SELLING PLATFORM YOU USE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ECONOMY IN NORTH AMERICA AND PERHAPS THE WORLD. ON TOP OF THIS INFLATION IS OUT OF CONTROL SO UNTIL OUR GOVTS BRING THIS UNDER CONTROL THE PROBLEM WILL CONTINUE.
As a new eBay seller, you have much to learn... You seem to to be of the thinking that when you list on eBay or any selling site that you are going to get sales immediately...
Some items/products take many weeks to sell, even many months...you have to commit to the long haul...
You have very little feedback so buyers may be hesitant to purchase from someone without an established track record. However, we all started at the bottom and it takes time, much time to become successful in selling online...
and NO, not everyone is having difficulty selling items on eBay or anywhere else for that matter... I list and sell on several selling sites and sure sales may be down somewhat, but sales are still rolling in...even FB Marketplace has continued to be relatively good for local sales...
Not everything has a tendency to sell at any given time....Trends come, trends go...buyer habits change.
Successful seliing is about the item/product; it's uniqueness, quality, supply and demand, target market etc...
You have to give yourself more than 30 days...selling online takes PATIENCE! and lots of it!!
