How can I change payout currency from USD to CAD.

When that MP nightmare started, I was told that I had to wait a year before I can change my payout currency.

$1000 extra exchange fee paid later, 1 year has passed and now I want to change my payout currency from USD to CAD. Each week that this change haven't been made I loose $25 in extra exchange fee.

Reading on the community post it looks like I will not be able to change it FOREVER!

Can that be true, did I lost $1000 per year by clicking the wrong button? If so that is simply crazy! Only mariage should be consider a lifetime contract!

I have waited one year like Ebay forced me too now they better hold their end of the deal!

Yes this is what support just told me... So I will loose $1000 per year forever and ever. On top of the 'legit' $500 of exchange fee because they cannot handle 2 currency, like Paypal could.

Each time changes come, Ebay become worst and worst.

"Told" as in you were on the phone?

You weren't talking to an eBay employee. The phone clerks work for a sub-contractor in Utah and are poorly trained. At least the Philippino clerks realize there are more countries in the world than the USA.

Use social media.

With the holiday, you may not get an answer until Tuesday, but these are well-trained eBay employees and have some authority.

It is amazing that I am a Canadian living in Canada, selling on Ebay.ca but I cannot get paid in Canadian money!

What if someone living in US move to UK, they have to close their Ebay account?

It make no sense, how can this business continue running is beyond beliefs.

You're describing a somewhat different scenario here. It's very possible that an American moving to the UK would want to set up a UK bank account for Managed Payments.  If "the system" allows this sort of switch, there'd likely be a switch in payout currencies to go with the change in bank accounts.

As far as I know, eBay Canada is the only eBay site that gives sellers the choice of payout currency, but I could be wrong about that.

In the old system before MP you could change your billing currency once a year.  As far  as I know that has never been an option with MP.  Once you choose your payout it stays the same unless you start a new ID. Whoever told you that must have been looking at old information.

The last time it was discussed here with ebay they would have to start a new ID in the UK. I dont think that they took 

situations like that into account when they set up MP.  Perhaps they have figured out a different way to work it now?

I agree that it is ridiculous that it was set up like that.
