How long do you have to pay for a bid you have won

Someone bought an item from me on July 19th and I have not gotten a payment from them what is the most time I should be waiting for a payment?

That depends... has the buyer contacted you at all? Sometimes things happen and as sellers we have to try to be undertsnading. For example, a relative has died, and they've been out of town making funeral arrangements.

However, for the most part, I stick to a 7 day window, sending them a polite reminder after 5 days. After 7 days, I publish an unpaid item case against the buyer (unless they contact me and give me a date when they can pay, such as the case above). Once I open the unpaid item case, I send them another email telling them I have done so, and how many days they have to pay before the case closes. I personally leave cases open for 5 days. Then, I report the unpaid item strike and relist the item.
