Hello Everyone,
Im reaching out to hopefully get ebays attention on some easy quality of life updates for its sellers. I have a background in Website development and coding, so I know a change like this shouldnt be too difficult for a billion dollar company.
I mainly sell trading cards, and use Variable Listings so that my buyers can see all the cards I have for sale in that set/category. Each card has its own image and some sets can have 200+ cards in them. I find this helps buyers who want to see which cards they need to see in order to complete their sets etc.
That being said, there are TWO frustrating and easily fixable issues with variable listings.
1. Creating the indivdual item titles.
- The drag and drop option is nice on the right hand side when you want to have a custom way to slot the items in a certain order BUT WHY ISNT THERE A SIMPLE "SORT" FUNCTION. Why do I have to manually drag and drop everything? Just add way to sort A-Z or Z-A.
2. Adding Photos to each individual item.
- PLEASE CHANGE THE "ADD A PHOTO" BUTTON TO FOLLOW THE SCROLL WHEEL. That way when you have 30+ items, you dont have to scroll down, select that item, then scroll back up to use the button select the option to add a photo. This gets expentionally more frustating when you have listings with 200+ variations and youre scrolling allllllllllll the way down and allllllllllllllll the way up.
- On the back end, have the "Select and Image" buttoN "Fixed" to the scroll wheel. That way no matter how many listings you have, it alot easier and quicker to add them since it follows as you scroll.
Ive contacted ebay support which they tried their best but had no solutions and also left feedback via the link on the variable listings for suggestions.
Anyone have any suggestions or perhaps maybe im missing something simple?
Thanks!
@fossiltcg The only real suggestion I can think of is to use the bulk upload feature and use a 3rd party to host the pictures (or at least provide them for the bulk upload feature to pull from depending on how it works, I've never used it). You can then use anything you want to on your end to fill in the details in the csv and link the pictures, and just let eBay do its own thing.
