ceased sales

I am one of the newest sellers on the platform, as I’ve created my store in the middle of August 2021.
At the beginning, my sales were going quite well, but since ebay started this “promote your listing for money” feature, my sales almost completely stopped.
It seems as though, because I chose not paying ebay marketing money, they are blocking my listings?
I have a very nice vintage and quality inventory that I price competitively.
For all my sales I got 5* reviews, from very happy customers.
So, it makes me wonder: “what is going on?”.
It cannot be a coincidence that my sales stopped with the new feature.
I would like to know if that's effecting more sellers?
Thank you!

They have had different types of promotions over the years and in my experience, I haven't notice a decline of sales when new ways to promote come out.   I do use the promoted listings standard on some of my listings  as it can be relatively inexpensive. It does seem to help with sales.

The promoted listings express is the newest promotion.  I've read about a few people using it but most of those people are using it on listings with multiples, not on one of a kind collectibles.    I have seen a few posts on the US board about slow sales from those who sell collectibles (and other items) so perhaps there is just a lull right now in those categories?

In the mean time you might want to make a change or two.  Shipping here is super expensive so you might want to change the order of your shipping options.  Right now buyers will see only the xpresspost option on many of your listings when they are looking at them on the search page. Xpresspost is probably the method that you have listed first on the sell your item form so that is what is shown to the buyer unless they actually go into the listing and then click on she shipping/payments tab.  It's possible that someone may not look at your listing at all if they think that the shipping is too high.

In some of your listings you also have xpresspost as the first option for the US. They are even more conscious of shipping costs than we are so you might want to look at changing the shipping set up on those listings as well.
