Reporting a buyer who uses a fake address to waste your shipping and time.

There is this buyer who first of all takes almost an entire month to pay, and then lists a fake shipping address on his eBay account so you waste shipping fees shipping to a non-existent eBay address. Then he files a claim on Paypal, and Paypal, historically frequently favoring the buyer, gives his money back.

In conclusion he is on here for jokes to waste your time and shipping. Since then he has even changed his "country location", which may very well be fake as well.

Is there a way I can report this buyer?

Don’t wait a month for payment.

Open an “Unpaid Item Dispute” after four days then close it four days later to recover your final value fees.

You can also add them to your blocked bidder list.

If you used Delivery Confirmation (either Regular Parcel or Expedited) you could have won the Dispute by giving Paypal that number. It would show the attempted delivery, even if the attempt was unsuccessful.

Also, when a PP dispute is underway, you can stop it and clear any black mark on your selling record, by refunding promptly when the item is returned. If PP forces the refund, that fact is noted on the seller’s record.

If the item was not returned, Regular. Expedited, and Small Packet services are insured up to $100 by Canada Post. PHONE the Customer Service 1-800 number and start an insurance claim.

Yes, that is a waste of your time and money.

The "fake" address may be an old one, rather than an actual fake done on purpose.

You got your item back?

So you are out time and energy and the shipping cost. Take a deep breath and put your financial loss into your account books as a loss for your tax return along with listing fees for items that do not sell.

If either of you left feedback, you might be able to add a calm factual Response to that. "Gave incorrect address. Item returned to sender."

Add him to your Blocked Bidder List.

Require that bidders have an active Paypal account.

Make a policy to start UIDs within a week. No reason to let these drag on.

Sorry, forgot to add: eBay prevents me from leaving feedback because a case was opened.
