I had 233 eBay listings during Dec. Received invite to list up to 50,000 auction style for free on 12th Jan. Uploaded 79 listings total value $ 877.77 on 13th. Received warning on update about nearing limit? Checked seller dashboard to find 100 listings/$5,000 p/month limit.
eBay a/c used since 4/2011 & PayPal verified.
Feedback score 59
Seller Performance last 3 months 5.0
Performance above standard

No neutral/negative feedback
No buyer protection cases
No e-mails from eBay about any problem
Why would eBay suddenly limit my listings to 100 p/m with no explanation? Phoned eBay yesterday - in queue 32 minutes – no answer from eBay dept responsible, disconnected.
This is my 2nd attempt to post. Clicked “submit” on longer version which has not yet re-appeared on “my activity” and no copy to paste.
You make an interesting point, “If sold and active at any one time exceeded 100 than you could be correct” so I re-checked the wording about "limits on eBay sellers”.
Example - within the same month I make 4 different bulk listings to eBay:
1) upload 100 5-day listings - sell 10 - 90 unsold
2) upload 90 5 day listings - sell 15 - 75 unsold
3) upload 75 5 day listings - sell 5 - 70 unsold
4) upload 70 5 day listings - sell 10 - 60 unsold
Therefore “live + sold" listings were never over 100 at any time = always within limit. Is this correct?
I originally advised 233 Listings during December. This was an arithmetical count provided by the eBay Selling Manager Search facility of all listings activity in December and included re-listings of unsold items. Can eBay provide Sellers with a Daily Limit report within the Selling Manager dashboard so that every seller is aware of the exact position without manually calculating?
