I have been selling on ebay for ten years with out a photo of my item now I cannot list without a photo when this come into effect as I am not setup to show photo of my listing. please advise flyer
The picture quality requirements were announced July 2013 but enforcement only started in January 2014.

With used items it is never a good idea to use a "stock photo".
I scan all my items (postcards, stamps, books,) Scanning is actually better because you can easily focus in on detail. We use scanning for illustrating all our online and web catalogues for our public auctions and have since around 1990 when we first went online.
Yes it is now mandatory and I would assume it has to do with Customer Satisfaction and all though annoying for sellers like me it does make sense ...
DO you have a printer with a scanner .. If so that would do the trick ..
If not good old camera will do the job ..

You write that u r not set up to include pix. If this means u hav no digital camera, borrow a picture from anyone, anywhere--get someone to email u a neutral pic or a pic of your store name, or a pic of a note that reads "if u really need pix, email me & I will have some sent". Lots of used digicams for sale online! I bot mine on ebay! Can't say more without having more details of yr sitch.
