My listings show secure (https) however my store shows not secure?

Hello,

I use Google Chrome and I've noticed that when I click on my store icon I see the Not Secure in the address bar with the corresponding symbol.

I've clicked on some other stores from other users as a test and I see the not secure symbol but not the full "not secure" spelled out in the address bar.

I've been randomly checking on my listings and when I click on my listings I see the Secure https coloured coded green in the address bar

Is there something I need to do?  My listings seems to be ok however if someone randomly clicked on my store to shop they would see the not secure symbol and I'm afraid they would move on without taking a look around.  Or is this an issue between ebay and google chrome?

Thank you in advance for your time

Hi edubb101,

The eBay Stores URL (stores.ebay.ca) aren't being served over the HTTPS protocol yet - those URLs should be changed over some time next year. So even though you may have removed all non-secure content from your Store, it will still show the security icon for the time being, until stores.ebay.ca is capable of being served over HTTPS. That's a change we need to make on our side.

Until then, in preparation for that change, it's still a good idea to make sure your Stores don't contain non-secure content, especially if you're using templates or content from third-party listing tools.

I hope that made sense - let me know if any part of that was not clear.

I still have about 500 listings to correct.

You should have received a Message from eBay telling you which ones.

If you have EVER used PhotoBucket, Sellathon, Auctiva to add pictures or counters or had a link to your own Store, you should have received a notice giving which ones.

There is a link at the Description when you go toRevise telling you what to look for.

I usually go to the HTML and cut that part out.

Then Relist at the bottom of the page.

Boring, but you can get into a rythym.

Viewing listings on eBay.com will confirm they are secure.

Some of my listings are not shown as secure on eBay Canada.....  However, they are shown as secure on eBay.com

eBay.com is the first eBay site to be showing whether a listing is secure or not.
